Community Bible Church, Central City, Nebraska

Berean Fellowship of Churches

The Berean Fellowship of Churches is poised in the early years of the 21st century to have a global impact on the advancement of the gospel. The Fellowship is committed to a vision of “Planting Churches, Making Disciples, and Reaching the World.”

We are diligent to accomplish this vision by working to establish and nurture a fellowship of interdependent churches and related ministries in strategic areas.

To this end the Berean Church Fellowship is pursuing strategic church planting opportunities in the United States and internationally. Our churches in the United States comprise a unified base that strengthens our international outreach. The Fellowship is also engaged in several strategic partnerships that allow us to maximize our churches’ resources for the cause of Christ.

The Berean Church Fellowship was built upon a solid biblical foundation and has always placed special emphasis on the authority of Scripture, the supremacy of Jesus Christ, and the importance of advancing the gospel through personal relationships, church planting, and world missions.

Our mission statement

Central City Community Bible Church exists to make disciples who make a difference for Christ.

Our history

Community Bible came into existence with five founding members in 1959 as a member of the Berean Church Fellowship.

After meeting in the basement of the Central City Public Library, the Merrick County 4-H Building, and a vacant Nazarene church, the group broke ground for a building of its own in March of 1961, taking possession in September of that year.

Five pastors have served the church.

From its inception the goal of Community Bible has been to be a Bible-preaching, missionary-minded church.
